CARTRIDGE MUSIC was a work by John Cage composed using an indeterminate graphic score.  Often performed by John Cage and David Tudor represents one of the early live electronic music works.  It used objects with phono cartridges attached to highly amplify the sound of common objects.

4’33” - John Cage (1952)

David Tudor is famous for his performances of John Cage’s controversial work 4’33”.  His interpretation was a performance in three movements and is performed in silence.
