TEST RECORDING - MICROPHONE (2014)

PROTOTYPE  FRONT PANEL

A prototype of the original Pepsi modulator module was made in 2014/15 by Michael Johnsen based on the original schematic of Gordon Mumma from 1969.  Using original parts, the modulator was prototyped and tested at Wesleyan University with the assistance of Ron Kuivila and the music department.  A recording of this test is available above.

CIE intends to create eight modulator modules in 2015/16 allowing the full reconstruction of the modifier part of the original audio console, and also the reconstruction of live performances of Tudor’s “Pavilion” works.
