PEPSIBIRD was composed for the Pepsi Pavilion and made extensive use of a sound processor designed by Gordon Mumma to transform a library of recordings of neural activity sounds together with processed recordings of similar sources.  It utilized recordings of:

  1. Cat’s eye

  2. Nerve firing

  3. Bats

  4. Brainwaves (slow / regular)

  5. EKG

  6. Alpha wave AM-FM

  7. Modified nightjar (slow)

  8. Modified nightjar (regular)

  9. Demodulated Alpha waves
