For the NABM realization, the sound material from 2018 was extended using recordings from the Watkins Collection of Marine Mammal Sound Recordings which preserves recordings of various marine mammal species, collected over a span of seven decades.https://www.whalingmuseum.org/learn/educators/special-programs/ocean-beats/ and additional publically available marine mammal recordings.
